The flycatcher has set himself as a guard in front of the birdhouse.Either he perches in some nearby branches of the beech,
or he sits in front of the house on a stand for plants.
So now and then he inspects the house inside.
saying tweet-te-tjeek...tweet-te-tjeep many times.
As he tweets he always opens his wings a little...as if he wants to fly off ...
He catches in between some flies.
flies around a little in the neighbourhood.
waits for a while nearby the house again.
tjeeps for a while, flapping his wings up and down.
callls....and waits.....and waits
all for her....
to come.
The whole ritual repeats all over the day numerous times.

Echt bijzonder om te zien. Ik vind het ook zo leuk om gedrag van beesten te observeren. De laatste tijd zat steeds een pimpelmees op mijn balkon, en ik hoopte dat ze het gat onder de rand van het dak weer eens gingen gebruiken. Het leek er veel op, maar de laatste dagen zie ik hem (en haar) niet meer. Helaas.
