Hedgehog party

 One of my friends has a hedgehog in her garden. 

She has bought last year a hedgehog-house and now the hedgehog sleeps in the house all winter and summer. On top of that, she feeds him(or her) every night with some yummy hedgehog-food. Which (s)he loves very much. 

The last few weeks there is a visitor and now both hedgehogs are feasting on the yummy food and each other. Would there soon be hedgehog babies?

Even the snails are happy, not to be snacked for dinner.

I will send her this partycard in anticipation.

Hedgehog

 Last Sunday I got from a good friend some hedgehog food. She herself has 2 Hedgehogs in her garden, coming every night for dinner. She refills the jar every time when it is empty...so they come back once or twice the same night!

I decided to serve the food...on a place they might pass. Every night a little closer to the door so that I might see them better. Every day, for three night in a row, the little plate was completely empty, so I knew I had some visitors.

Yesterday it was bingo...I saw a hungry Hedgehog nibbling the food..He really seems to like it a lot..next morning all the food was gone! So for tonight I refilled the saucer again for a yummy treat. 

Hedgehog

For years I have not seen them in my garden.
I don't know why.
I heard there had been sickness under the hedgehogs.
But now tonight I saw one!
He was very slow and I think because of the enormous heat of today made him exhausted.
He did not run away when I came close.
I wondered if he was sick.
I ran inside to give him some cat food, which he immediately started to eat.
He still did not run away. I brought him some more.
A bit frightened he sighed way but came back later.
Unfortunately it was already getting dark and my cam settings were not on the right Iso.
Thats why only a shimmering photo, but thats better han nothing.

Hedgehog

Just before turning off the lights,
I saw a hedgehog running outside.
I ran after him.
seeing what he was doing.
When he noticed me he changed into a round ball.
I gave him some of Bibi'sandFluffy's food.
He was too afraid to touch it.
so I left him alone....so that he could nibble the food without me watching.

Hedge Hog

Didn't see him for a while,
Probably more that I was too busy doing other things,...than that he didn't show up.
Tonight I saw him again, and I could not resist to cuddle him a little,
so that immediately he rolled into a prickly ball.
I gave him some cat-food under his nose.

It took a while for him to recover...daring to smack-smack-smack his treat...
running away in a rush, after he had finished his snack.

Almost every evening around 10.30,
a hedgehog is roaming around.
he sniffs out the grass...for something yummy.
Sometimes he finds the leftovers of Tommy and Bibi.
not always, when the tray is empty.

Quickly I filled the tray...
Very soon he discovered his treat.
I stayed close ... I could hear his funny loud smacking.

He didn't notice me so close
when he wanted to leave, he almost bumped on me,
frightened he ran away...
then he bumped on Tommy who was laying under a chair.
Both jumped up kind of startled.

I filled his dish again...
After a while he came back, enjoying his second portion.

Every evening in the dark a hedgehog is raoming around in my garden looking for something to eat...
a frog who was taking a walk outside the pond, suddenly saw the hedgehog and for safety reasons jumped back into the water.
nightlife in the garden is realy fun watching.
