poppy-time

Its poppy time. Everywhere they are out...!
Beautiful red dots on the verge of the roads.
These ones decided to grow between the tiles of my terrace.
I carefully protected them to be sure that they would make it.

You never know with poppy's.
I sowed them in my garden...lots of seeds.
Not one came, or yes some came up... but were eaten by the snails or slugs.
A while later they were all gone.

Slowly the back of my garden is coloring red.
Even the fading poppy leaves have somehow beauty.

I wonder who is having poppysalat...?

Its Poppytime again.

Great red dots standing out in the greens.

More buds

More buds are going to explode.

Now its the time to keep for eyes on the buds.

Before you know it they are out,

without having noticed or seen.

And then you think How come? where was I ?

why did I not notice or not see...even when I looked!

This year I don't want to miss a bud.

The rose hips are shriveling and changing colors,

Not what they were anymore

autumn has taken over.

Its red berry time.

All the shrubs that have bloomed this summer, now carry beautiful red berries.

The honeysuckle has made lovely reds.

I wonder how long they will stay there,

till the birds decide its time for a yummy fruit salat

I love it all the red berries in my garden.

The Malus and the lily of the valley have beautiful red berries.

The raindrops give them an extra glossy look

Poppy

It is a bit funny for the time of the year.

This Poppy however thought it a good idea to go blossoming now.
