Black eye

The last couple of days, since Friday it was black: Black on one eye.
The doctor covered my eye with a patch in order to protect it and to prevent it from blinking.
Every blink was like sandpaper scratching in my eye.
Somehow a sand grain or something else had jumped in my eye and scratched the surface.
It was extremely painful, so the best thing was to put a bandage on the eye and some salve to heal it.
I am thankful to say that it  is going a bit better now.

Fluffy box

The Fluff was very happy with his new Valentinebox.
Immediately he jumped in the box, which happened to sit in the warm sun rays.
And I was happy with the content of the box!
Happy Valentine!!!

One eye is back again!

This morning I noticed two robins in my garden trying to find some food on the feeding table
This one was waiting for his turn.
The other robin was eating on the feeding table
I was wondering if it was 'One eye', because it looked like his eye was slightly different than the other eye.
I only better could see it when I see the photo's on my computer.
And yes! It is 'One eye' again!
For the third year now I see him in my garden!
Its amazing how he finds back my garden every year, because the winter robin is another robin than the summer robin.
Here is One eye in 2016

Snow

This morning when I looked out of my window, I saw it was snowing!
I love to watch snow coming down, which always creates an enchanting, calming effect.
Everything calming down, even the cars on the road.

The birds however are busy, trying to find some food.
I always go to my cupboard to see if there is something in it they would like.

Gold crest

This afternoon, the tiniest little bird of Europe came for a dive in the birdbath.
Its the Gold crest (Goudhaantje).
He has a small yellow stripe on top of his head.
