The woodpeckers are back in my garden. 

At least only when I give them yummy things.

They have young again, but I have not figured out how many.

The young are more clumsy to get on the bird feeder. 

The parents are way more handy and secure to balance on the feeder.

Every time they announce their coming by saying tchick tchick.

Suddenly they are gone under and then back up again.

Sparrows

For years my desire was to have sparrows in my garden.
Sometimes they visit, to have a bath.
However they don't have made a habitation in my garden to stay.
I'm not sure if this will be the case now.
They come at the feeding table, and also they brought their young,
So lovely, I love these birds.
I hope they will decide to stay here.

Coots

Family Coot.
So nice to see that she or he disappears and than comes up again with a beak full of food.

Cormorant

A Cormorant sat looking out.
When he noticed me coming a bit closer,
he decided to take off...
I loved to see how he first walks a bit on the water, before taking flight.

Pheasant

Long time ago I saw these birds moving around.
Such beautiful colours!

Such Beauty

Being away on my bike today, going thru beautiful fields.
I came along these. It reminded me of my youth, having these flowers in abundance.
Soooo beautiful!
As if I arrived in another world.

Squirrel

When I was sitting with my morning coffee, suddenly I noticed squirrel near the pond, looking for something to drink.
I grabbed my camera and when I came back I was just in time to see where he had hidden one of his treasures!
He dove deep into the grass, dug into it and out came his safely hidden nut!
Does he smell them under the ground?
Does he remberber where he had hidden the nuts?
How does he find it back?
