Along the road

Such beauty along the road, just for free to enjoy!
Such beauty.
I love these wild flowers.

Wagtail

On my way, there were several wagtails running and sitting on the road.
When I came closer they were running ahead.
I could catch one that was too busy preening, he was not aware of me being close.
He found later a safer place to continue his preening.

Yellow wagtail

On my way, I came along a beautiful field of corn.
A little further I noticed in the cornfield this beautiful yellow bird.
Probably looking for insects.
In one of my books I found out that it is a yellow wagtail.

Sparrow

I heard a thump on my window.

When I looked, a little sparrow had crashed against the glass.
In a shock he sat on the ground.
I held him for a while in my hands.
Knowing that Our heavenly Father cares for the sparrows
and that none of them falls to the ground without Him knowing.
I prayed a prayer that he would survive and live
and I told the sparrow that his end had not yet come.

I then sat him down on the bench, but he preferred to sit on a plant-support-ring.
That seemed to me a good sign.
When I waited a while longer and made some photos he suddenly flew away.

Thank You!

Woodpeckers

The woodpeckers are back in my garden.
At least only when I give them yummy things.
They have young again, but I have not figured out how many.
The young are more clumsy to get on the bird feeder.
The parents are way more handy and secure to balance on the feeder.
Every time they announce their coming by saying tchick tchick.

Sparrows

For years my desire was to have sparrows in my garden.
Sometimes they visit, to have a bath.
However they don't have made a habitation in my garden to stay.
I'm not sure if this will be the case now.
They come at the feeding table, and also they brought their young,
So lovely, I love these birds.
I hope they will decide to stay here.

Family Coot.
So nice to see that she or he disappears and than comes up again with a beak full of food.

Cormorant

A Cormorant sat looking out.
When he noticed me coming a bit closer,
he decided to take off...
I loved to see how he first walks a bit on the water, before taking flight.
