Oil-paintings

Have been working on new oil-paintings during the last year.

These two blackbirds I just finished.

As I love birds as you all know, over the years I made lost of photos of them in all sorts of ways and expressions. I wondered if I could paint them in oil. So I did and discovered so much fun doing this. I forget the time and all the weird stuff flying around in the world. This is great!

I had in mind one central theme from the Bible along with that:

Look at the birds in the air. They do not sow, or reap or gather into barns_and yet our heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? (Math.6:26)

This has been great help when all things are going wrong in the world around.

So I spend lots of time to work on my new birds coming out of my brushes.

rose hips

The roof of my shed is absolutely gorgeous.

The apple-like fruits (rose hips) of the hawthorn dropped all over the place.

Squirrel

Every day I see squirrel sniffing around.

I had put some nuts in a flowerpot and yes! he has found them! and today he came looking at the same spots again, hoping that there might be new ones. However I had not thought of it to do so.

I think tomorrow I'll surprise him.

Buzzard

Not so easy to catch his beauty on camera.

Mostly they are already gone before you can grab your camera or a car comes by before you can take your shot.

Anyway glad I caught one, though not the way I would like. but one buzzard far away is better than no buzzard at all.

Pheasant

This week a very rare bird visited my garden. A Pheasant; Not a garden bird, but mostly seen in the fields and wood.

He (or better say she) came for a drink from the pond.

You could tell she was very shy, constantly looking up and around to see whats around. After a quick drink she ran away on high heels.

Squirrel and nuts

Squirrel is moving like a vacuum cleaner over the grass.

Sniffing out for hidden nuts be has berried days before. It does not  look like he finds some. So I throw out some nuts I have earlier collected for him. A few moments later he's back and finds them.

I wonder what's going on in his mind. Few minutes ago there were no nuts! and now there are!

What a surprise that must be. With a smile in my heart I throw out some more nuts.

Only during wintertime they are staying here, coming from the northern countries.
