lazing 2

Tommy, at the same time, loves lazing, dozing...sleeping outside.
I love the way how he crosses his frontpaws

lazing

As Bibi is most of the time outside at nighttime
roaming around and chasing mice,

In the daytime he loves dozing, lazing..sleeping... inside.

robin-concert

Its time for robins concerts.
Everyday I hear him somewhere singing.
mostly he is hiding in the branches... so you can hear him, but not always see him.

Today he was hiding in a fir-tree.
after some closer inspection I found him, perfectly camouflaged.
only his red breast, shows off clearly.
think away the red... he is perfectly hidden.

where ever you go someplace...there is always a robin singing in the near distance.
You only have to listen and recognise his song.
Its robin concerts-time...

babyhedgehog

baby hedgehog sniffing around to find a little something.
almost bumping on my camera...

hedgehog eating....and running away.

hedgehog mother and baby

Tonight I saw more than one!...at least 3 hedgehogs roaming around in the grass,
& inspecting Tommy and Bibi's food-tray.
There is a family!
Later there came a small young hedgehog sniffing around the grass
trying to find a little something.
such cute little one...

A Chiffchaff..is enjoying his bath,
before he returns all the way back to Africa,
where he spends his wintertime.

more than once he is jumping up and down in the bath.
diving in the water...
splashing everywhere.
very quick moving bird...such an energy...so much alive!

autumn

Autumn has truly broken loose,
though the weather is lovely.
Some leaves are decaying on the shrubs...getting holes everywhere.
like a lace, or brodery.

speckled wood

In dutch a The Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria)(bont zandoogje) is called sand-eye.
at closer inspection, this one has no sand in the eyes...
but can see clearly.

twirling around

A phlox-flower has been caught in a spiders thread..
the wind gently twirling the flower round and around...
millions of times

dew wrap

This morning I inspected again spiders web,
to see how the morning dew had covered his wraps
and if he has wrapped some more prey..

Spider was not at home...
gone out.....having left alone his house and provisions.
which now had been beautiful covered with morning-dew...
to be seen from both sides.

happy wrap

Didn't I look good this morning?
This afternoon I saw another wrapped package in the web of the spider.
Or maybe he has caught today another happy wrappy.

spider wrap

I saw it happen,
a spider turning his prey round and around...
Quickly spinning his prey around, like a spinning-wheel.

This what I was wondering about...questioning, how the spider managed to get the thread so perfectly around the insect, so many times.
Even legs and wings were sealed for conservation.

Now the mystery was revealed right before my eyes.
When I tried to make a photo,
The spider just decided it was enough wrappings around his parcel,
he walked away..sat down a few inches further...watching his stored meal.
(click-click wrappings for closer inspection)

new airy book for 5770

I always use a scratch-book to make notes,
writing down ideas... writing down thoughts I don't want to loose
or making my own thoughts more clear.
little drawings...doodles..or whatever I think is important to have noted.

I wanted my new book a special look
to make it different from the ones I already have jotted full.

In the mood of "carrying the sky" on your shoulders
(see post a few days ago, 3 Sept) and (Sept 2, snail-house)
This idea keeps working in my mind...this light airy sky...
Living a life without heavy burdens on your shoulders is an art of life.
most of time, problems, worries, stress... anxious thoughts...trouble most joy and fun in life.
I want to learn more to let go...to live with airy sky on my shoulders.

Now every day the book (full of air) helps to remind me everyday.
And I just saw Jewish New-year just starts this weekend..becoming 5770
a good moment to begin with this book.

who is eating the berries?

snails

I don't have to search a longtime...
within seconds I find lots of snails in the garden.
sleeping or eating a little something...
or going for a walk on a stem of a plant.

spending lots of hours...days... with my cats having babies.
such a precious moments..
little sucking sounds...of the baby's without drinking... even in their sleep.

ladybirds exercises

As two of my friends were helping me today doing some gardening
a ladybird had landed on R's back.
doing some exercising for flying,
stretching his wings...more than once before taking off.

I could not catch him sharp with my cam...only blurred.
later he sat on M's back continuing doing his exercises
until the last shot...which happened to be sharp...
then he took off victoriously.
