One of the blackbirds is planning to have a nest in one of the conifers.
He, or better say she, is getting her construction-materials out of the gutter.

first orange-tip butterfly

This morning, while making my coffee..looking outside the window,
I saw a butterfly flying! and a bluetit was chasing it,
but didn't catch.
It must have been an orange-tip..
It was as far as I could determine, in that split second,
orange+white...and the size of....... orange-tips.!
Surprized..as I was

First butterfly this year!

crocus minefield

My crocus-mine-field slowly has taken on some more visible shape.
You now can clearly see where to put your feet and where no feet are allowed.

A little sunshine makes the crocus like firy bright flames.
Suddenly an explosion of flames everywhere!

buying spring

Went to a greenhouse today.
Yes spring did start officialy today...
yet plants and trees are one month later comparing to last year, as the news announced.
It is way too cold this time of the year, that's why I bought some spring in advance..
beautiful violets..and breezed/inhaled bright springcolors, to get into the feel.

count the stars

And He brought him (Abraham) outside and said.
Look now toward the heavens and count the stars-if you are able to count them-.
then He said to him. So shall your descendants be. Gen.15:5

starlings

Yesterday, just before getting dark,
I saw an lots of birds flying...going around and circles above the city, where I visited a good friend of mine..
Everytime we looked, another group of birds joined the bigger group... moving like waves in the air.
An enormous spectacular sight...!
Never seen this real time..only on a tv...and I always hoped to see this in real life.

Thousands and thousands of birds flying like waves...flying in one huge flock of birds, moving in & out one-another... like a wave-dance...
Making beautiful paterns of grew clouds changing into deeper greys and antracites...turning into paler greys..and on & on.
Everytime more birds joined...coming out of nowhere...
wondering where they came from and how they knew...
Awesome sight, for about an hour...then getting more dark.
I saw them like a funnel going down... then suddenly all birds were gone...

We biked to the place where we thought they had landed...and found!
All the birds suddenly had dropped, perched into 3 or 4 trees..sitting so close together..and making chirping loud sounds...it was spectacular...awesome sight & sound
Rarely seen such an amazing wonder of nature!

seed of blue rain

This morning while I entered my room,
I saw a strange thing lying on the floor, not knowing what it was.

Picked it up, and before throwing away, gave it one more glance.
Then I saw it was a seed....
immediately I knew where it came from.
On my 'lost-and-found' place I had put last week a seed from the wisteria-tree.
In dutch called 'blue rain'.
I liked the seeds that had formed last year on the tree, so left them during winter, but now one of the seeds had fallen off, and I put it inside.
There the seedcontainer had dried, so the seeds jumped spontaniously out!

Would this be the right house?
Or shall I look a little further....?

inspection-time

The birds are having inspection-time.
Every birdhouse in my garden is undergoing a radical inspection,
by the birds this time of the year.
So I was doing the same.
removing old nests from the year before, do some cleaning
and checking if the houses need renovation.
I am looking forward to this time, when the birds start building their nests
and bringing up their young.
I dearly love it!

dwellingplace

Even while it still is snowing,

I saw a dove planning to make a dwelling-place in one of the trees.

I think the dove(=Holy Spirit) likewise, wants to make a dwellingplace in our hearts.
and create a safe restingplace inside...no matter what circumstances look like outside.

operophtera brumata

Winter butterfly (geometer). the name is hardly to pronounce, or even to write.
Operophtera brumata.
Sits all day on my window today.
My book says that the male likes to sit on windows, and flies in wintertime.
so this might be him sitting there.

eyetosee

Tried all day working on an entrancepage for a website, called i2c.
over the years I went through many trials first in the trialversion of dreamweaver.
wanting to learn the program and got stuck so many times.

and now in the picking my dreams up again...
It still does not go smooth and easy..and how I would like it going.
seems as if the dreams in dreamweaver do not want to weave.
anyhow... I'll try again and again.

armoury

Bibi shows off her intimidating armoury...

to impress her new rainbow-mouse, which she recently got from another friend K.
yes....a mouse...! again...another one!

She likes them so much!
The tiger & leopardmouse are now both without ears...
The snowmouse had to go through a repair, but now wobbles again.
He is somewhere, someplace in hiding today.
