Wood-pigeon nesting

A wood-pigeon decided to build a nest in the Wisteria.
I thought it was not such a good idea, because I wanted to prune it.
The top of the tree had grown way to heavy.
So I decided to take away the beginnings of the nest and that it was better that he choses another place for the nest.
The next day I pruned the tree.
Immediately after that, the pigeon build a new nest on the same spot.
He definitely was less shaded now by my pruning the tree, however if he wants his nest there, very close to my door, (which was another reason I thought this was not a good plan)
I let him and see what happens when he sees me so close when I use the door.
It seems he does not mind, me using my door and walking under the tree.
He quietly sits there on his nest and it seems he is not disturbed so much when I come so close to use the door.

Small 5

Continuing story Small

While Small was pondering about beyond and how it would look like, and how to get there.
The stone on which he sat suddenly started moving...

This year I have a lot of poppy's in my garden.
The real ones, (on the top)and some from a nursery.(the ones beneath)
The real ones (the ones that grow in the countryside) I love the most!
The are from the family named: Papaver, however I name them Papa-close.
In Dutch 'ver' means 'far away'...but Our real Heavenly Father, Daddy, Papa, is very very close.

Small 4

It has been a while to continue story Small.
Have a peek here to see how it began.

A while later Small sat down on some stones near the waterside.
He was wondering how he ever possibly could go to the land of beyond the lake
and even beyond the horizon.
He was too small to walk all the way around the lake.
He was too small to swim all the way through te water.
He had no boat and even if he had one, he had no strength enough to row all the way by himself.

Flycatcher young

Having been away for some days,
I was hoping I was back just before the flycatchers were ready for their flight.
However when arriving home, I noticed the flycatcher nestbox was empty.
On the wings...
When I was watering some plants i heard young baby bird cheeping.
Looking better I saw one sitting in the beech arch...
So I ran inside to get my camera. coming back the young had gone to some other place.
Inspecting the nearby trees, the young sat in the fir-tree so i was able to make just a few shots before he decided to go further.
