the seal

The seal inside the golden egg.

golden egg

Few days ago, I had written a letter, searched all over the place for my stamps.
Somewhere, someplace I had stored them away in a drawer or a box to overcome the dust.
Now nowhere to be found.
I had turned some boxes upside down, searched some drawers...nothing...no stamps.

So I went to the post office to get some new.
I always ask for "NICE" stamps, (not the common Queenstamp)
So the lady at the desk showed me the choices.
Immediately my eye fell on The Dagobert Duck stamps.
I liked this ones, so I said: "I like 2 sheets"

Oh, she said grabbing something out of nowhere.
"Then you get this golden egg as well", as she put the egg on the counter..
Surprized I looked at the golden egg, which had the size of a doves egg.

Oh..I like that! I said," Its better then breeding the egg first, to get the chick out"
She glanced at me kind offf..what?
A moment later the penny dropped, as she smiled.
Then she said: "There is something in it..some sweets..or?"
while she grabbed a sheet from under the counter to check:
"No there a seal inside".

rain

The rain is trying to cleanse my dusty windows.
The windows haven't been cleansed for a long time,
the dust of the constructionwork keeps coming&coming, so its no use doing.

I hope the rain helps me a little.

rain drops

It has been raining cats and dogs, last night.
I heard Bibi miaaauwing/screaming coming inside...still dark outside.
That means he has a mouse...

As the house still is under construction, The doors were not yet replaced.
That meant he can enter the house into all the rooms he wanted.
shiver...shiver.
This morning I searched around in the house for the mouse,
I could not find the mouse anymore.
Yucky...where did the mouse go!

Today the doors have been placed

So that problem is solved; sigh..sigh...

back home

I'm back home again.
After having been away for a month...because my house is still under construction,
I arrived back home today.

Even with everything under layers of dust..I feel like home again.
My own things..my own garden, my own cats...my own birds...Home is at home.
This coal-tit is at the house where I stayed..it took them a while to find the seeds I had put up for them.

The blackbird sat quitely in the vine...looking...staring at the feedingtable.
Meanwhile saying Twiieeeuww...twiieeeuww...twiiiiueew.

He waited quite some time before he sat down the get his treat.

Later I saw why he was so careful.

Keeping an eye on me,
Will it it safe...enough?

Did he mind?
Then as if all inspection had been positive..he started to have a go..

Blue jay

A blue jay reading the sign...watch out!
electric wire.

snailspace

A snail, walked across the glass window.

You had to look very carefully, as it seemed he did not make any progress.
But the moment I looked closer, I could surely see him move.
Though very slowly he did arrive on the spot where he wanted to go.
