Woodpecker young

 Woodpecker has a young.
I noticed this a week ago, when he went to and fro with a beak full of food, flying away.
i kept on providing food, hoping that the young woodpecker would come himself.

After waiting and sitting ready with my camera, The young woodpecker came.
Such an adorable bird. 
The brilliant red on top of his head is amazing.
It's a different place than the parent, who has the red spot more at the back of his head.
When the parent is there, the young acts, as if he is not able to pick the food for himself. However, when the parent has gone, the young is well able to pick the food...

Robin young

 My garden has lots of flying young coal-tits, blue-tits and even a young robin or more.

It's not so easy to have a good photo, because they are constantly on the move. 
Here I captured a young robin who is begging for food. The parents are very busy to get their beaks full.

Here is the lovely cute young robin, getting his red fiery feathers out on his breast.

His head is still in the baby-feathers-look, speckled all over his head and neck. That will change soon so that he has red feathers as well around his head.

Young Eurasian Jay

 Again the jays came along.

At first thought I wanted to chase them away, but then stopped when I noticed they wanted to drink and have a bath.

So I let them and took advantage of the opportunity to make some great pics!

Eurasian Jay

 Yesterday and today I noticed at least 4 Eurasian Jays (Garrulus glandarius) flying around in my garden.

Maybe one is the parent, but did n't find out yet. The young are quite clumsy and that makes it that I do like them a bit. Normally I don't like jays very much as they are known for eating eggs out of nests and even young birds. So I don't like that at all. 

These ones I tolerate a bit because they are so clumsy and they have a kind of funny looks when they tried to bathe in the birdbath.

Anyway I think after a while they go to the woods where they fit better.

Young coal tits

A while ago, I accidentally discovered that the coal tits had made plans for another breed. 

I think it was a second nest this year.

Today I was suddenly seeing that the young were eagerly looking out of the box, ready to take flight. I grabbed my camera and waited behind the window, where I had perfect view on the nestbox.

I did not have to wait long, that I saw the first young fly on the fence. A while later I saw the second one take flight, landing between the leaves of a climbing plant.

Some time later when I was inspecting near the nest I found a third bird sitting quietly in the ivy. 

 I was happy to be right on time to watch the birds take flight.
 

Young robin

 Beautiful young robin bathing.

I love these young beauties, with their speckled outfit. Soooo lovely!!!!

Flycatcher young

Having been away for some days,
I was hoping I was back just before the flycatchers were ready for their flight.
However when arriving home, I noticed the flycatcher nestbox was empty.
On the wings...
When I was watering some plants i heard young baby bird cheeping.
Looking better I saw one sitting in the beech arch...
So I ran inside to get my camera. coming back the young had gone to some other place.
Inspecting the nearby trees, the young sat in the fir-tree so i was able to make just a few shots before he decided to go further.

Coals out!

I was just in time.

I wanted to get something from behind the house 

and then suddenly I noticed that the young baby-coals were planning to go out!

I ran inside to grab my camera.

I saw the first one fly out, flying into a nearby tree,

and than the second peeking out...flying into the arch...

Then the third coal and so on and on.

I was so happy to be witness of the all the little coals flying out!

Young blue-tit

So now and than, I see little young birds coming along, having a peek if there is something to eat or going for a bath.
The young blue tits, are not so blue yet as their parents.
