Toad stools

 I went back to the place where I found toad-stools last year.

It was then a great surprise for me finding them. As I then thought I had missed them all because I was not able to go and search for them.

At first I did not see any. but when I looked better I saw two red ones! Maybe a bit small...

But to my relief it was something which is better that nothing. Then when I looked better, to my surprise I saw lots of small beginnings of toadstools as a small white dot.

That means I have to go back soon to see if they have grown.

Today I was thinking how the toadstools were doing after 9 days.
I found 5 in a good condition, all the other ones were gone.
Even a beautiful round one and one very big...
It was a feast to be able to see them again.

Red toadstools

I really desired to make some photos of red toadstools.
I had seen lots of them about 6 weeks ago on the side on the road, but I had no camera and no time,
having to be on time somewhere more than hundred kilometers from my place.
There were sooo many ! I was amazed.
So I really wanted to make some photo's somewhere near my home and see if I could find some.
However, I fell some 3 weeks ago, and injured my knees very badly.
Only being able to stumble through my house a bit, not coming very far.
and certainly not able to go for a walk through the woods sadly enough.

I thought, still desiring to make photos, maybe I can ask some friends if they know some in the neighbourhood, so that I can go there with my car.
None of them knew, season of it is gone or nearly gone...
Before all that (2 weeks ago) I prayed: "I would love to make photos of the white dots on the red toadstools, especially the round young ones, being fresh and so cute".
The season of red toadstools almost done,
However today, rather sunny day, I went to the woods with a friend, to maybe find some leftovers.

The area we were going, normally would have many, but sadly enough we did not see any of red dots in the woods.
Season is over.
However we enjoyed the beautiful autumn colors and nature.
We were driving on our way home and suddenly nearly home I saw some red dots on the side of the road.
I said stop... stop...!
Were were able to find a parking spot on the side of the road not very far from where I thought I had seen them.
And Yes!
First I saw 2, than 5...than 8....and looking around some more we finally found 12!
In all variations of age.
When I didn't expect anymore... it happened...

I was falling still that Heaven had heard my little prayer.
Thank You, thank You, thank You!

bites

To make it even more complicated...
a week or so ago I saw this one, being a meal, for whom?

which does not seem to be bites from a squirrel, nor a birds beak bite?
who can tell?

pop-ups and a bite

When I checked today my mail,
I saw at the foot of a tree close-by 5 red young toadstools...
again red toadstools!
which weren't there a few days ago
instantly they have popped up, between the leaves,
which have been falling on-and-on, the last couple of days

of course I was interested in the bite on one of them
looking here like a bite of a birds beak...
which unsettles it all...if it wasn't the squirrel

Very Unimportant Thing

I found yesterday the toadstools were nibbled on again

an unknown creature has eaten away some parts
clearly to be seen in the detailed photo,
like little teethmarks on the top of each stool.
interesting...and somehow I like to know who ....?
Who is nibbling on the house????

I wonder its the squirrels...

Maybe in he light of the world-economic-crisis of shaking and tumbling
it is nonsense to wonder about this silly Very Unimportant Thing

Of course it is and of course it isn't.
