frost 2

Last night the frost has changed the garden in magic beauty.

frost

Frosted powder on the branches...
I wonder if the birds never have cold feet...
They look so beautiful with outstanding feathers highlighted by the sun rays.

random snowshots

Just some random shots in my garden, yesterday.
All being covered under a enchanting white blanket of beautiful white.

The birdbath's have become like ice cakes.

Only the well in the pond still has running water...
where the birds gratefully can have their drink.

Today the magic has disappeared into a juicy slippery ice clutter.

rose stamp

I love snail mail.
I love the handwritten envelopes, the real stamps and the feel of paper.
It always makes me wondering at first; do I recognise the handwriting?
who has sent it?
Leaving me puzzled before I curiously open the envelope.
I love it, when it is sealed with a beautiful stamp.

Now is the time for sending cards for X-mas and/or New Year.

This lovely rose stamp was on one of those letters...matching a beautiful rose card inside.

berries

Right in front of my window, outside on a table, I have this lovely berries in a glass pot.
They last much longer outside.. putting them outside is so much longer pleasure.

As there is little food to find for the birds in this snow scape,
this blackbird has found my berries.
Just in front of my window he risks the danger of coming so close
because he cannot withstand this so dearly attracting red&purple treat.

The pics are not quite sharp, but too much fun to share...
while he picks & swallows his yummy berries.

before you find what you like.

Mr. Woodpecker

There he was....in a sudden unexpected moment.

I happened to have my camera at the right location, and be on the right spot,
for the moment.
There he was....Mr. Woodpecker himself.

He always looks to me as if he is going to a very important meeting,
being perfectly dressed for the occasion.

snow 2

Of course robin looked wonderful today in snowtopped branches.

snow

Yesterday the newsman promised snow.

When I awoke and eagerly looked out of the window, there wasn't.
Kind of disappointed I started to make my morning coffee.
After a few hours....it did!
Slowly thick snowflakes started coming down,
keeping on falling, until a white carpet had been layed out.
as well a serene stillness.

Only the birds leaving some prints in the white.

...a cryptic message in the ice in the birdbath?
