full color

This morning, I looked for the new-born ladybird,
to see if he was still there...

At first I thought he had gone,
but looking a little higher.... there he was.
He had climbed between the seeds of the valerian.
hiding...between the seeds, which had become little parachutes...ready to jump off.

Now he had put on his full colors
all his dots were deepblack and his shield painted in a bright-firy-orange.

What a lovely harmonious composition of color and pattern. Beautiful, just lovely. I especially like the contrast between the shiny shell of the lady bug, and the softness of the flower seed.

I've so enjoyed seeing the birth of your ladybird. What marvelous photos you took of his beginning color yellow, on to the darkening of his spots. Fascinating and beautiful!
