blackbird catching a worm

Blackbirds have that specific look in their face..when catching worms.
They look...look around with very sharp eye...
but then they seem to listen as well...very concentrated.

bending one ear to the ground, kind of ....as if hearing the worm....
could that be?
I don't know...it looks so to me...that special look...
then instant tjakka...there is the worm...in their beak!
smack... smack!

(grin) I LOVE this set of photos. What fun--birds have such amazing and unique personalities. I like the idea of the bird listening to the worm, and then pouncing.
