ladybirds party

I was visiting my parents today.

To my amazement my mother showed me their ladybird tree.
In the pears lots of ladybirds were feasting.
There were clusters of ladybirds, sitting in a pear-hole.... eating pear!
I always thought ladybirds only ate lice,
but this I never have seen.
