eggs

I decided today to clean out the nestboxes, in order for the birds to use the birdhouses again.
Its better to clean them out, because there are mostly lice& fleas that are breeding there too.
so to avoid too much company, the birds mostly don't use these nests again..but start building new clean ones for a second breed.

This is what I found in the blackbirds nest.. a beautiful egg that has not hatched..
it has the size of 29x22 mm
In a great-tit nest I found one egg too...where the birds have flewn out recently.
the blue-tits have simular eggs only 2 mm smaller
this egg of the greattit has the size of 18 x13 mm
even the eggs are beautiful!
