Not only turned Turntle, he completely disappeared under the water.

Small, could not hold on anymore and had to let go of all.

All of his life flashed as a film through his minds eye

and even all of his dreams and expectations...all gone. 

 He yielded to the only One.

Goldfinch young

Yesterday I went to one of my friends house, because a Goldfinch, (Carduelis carduelis), (Puttertje,) was breeding there in the golden rain.( Laburnum,),(Gouden regen).
Its an awesome bird, well known because of the famous painting of Carel Fabritius.
When I arrived, there was only one finch left in the nest, and it was almost certain he would take his wings as well that evening.
After a while waiting for mom or dad-goldfinch showing up, the finch thought it was time to find them. (They did not come because I guess were busy feeding the others who were already out.)
So the last young did some exercise with his wings...and off he was.
Awesome sight, to be just in time to see him taking his wings.
Later I saw one of the parent finches coming to him to give him a little something.

As it is extremely hot this week,
The blue-tits know how to get refreshment in the water.
Its always such a joy to see how they can splash and sparkle!

Turntle did not wait for an answer, what Small was doing on his back,
instead he turned around.
Small holded on to the shield with all of his might...

Woodpeckers

A closer look at the woodpeckers, when they came to the feeding table.
The first 3 pics is the parent, bringing the food to the young.

Young woodpeckers

For a few days, I noticed there are young woodpeckers flying around.
First I noticed two but today I saw four woodpeckers of which one is the parent.
Their sounds are lovely!: Tjick tjieck
and so is their wobbly flying.

Small landed flat on 'The Stone'
gasped for air and did not know what to say.
Then Turntle said...what are you doing on my back!
I almost shipwrecked!

Small freaked out in panic, jumping into the air
and almost falling into the water,
when he looked in the eyes of the moving stone.

Blue-tit

Molting blue-tit having a bath
and rearranging his feathers.

Fluffy

I think I have a weird cat.
While I was busy to clear away some old clothes.
Fluffy took a second guess...and really liked the old sweater in the sack.
So he decided to have his nap there.

Wood-pigeon nesting

A wood-pigeon decided to build a nest in the Wisteria.
I thought it was not such a good idea, because I wanted to prune it.
The top of the tree had grown way to heavy.
So I decided to take away the beginnings of the nest and that it was better that he choses another place for the nest.
The next day I pruned the tree.
Immediately after that, the pigeon build a new nest on the same spot.
He definitely was less shaded now by my pruning the tree, however if he wants his nest there, very close to my door, (which was another reason I thought this was not a good plan)
I let him and see what happens when he sees me so close when I use the door.
It seems he does not mind, me using my door and walking under the tree.
He quietly sits there on his nest and it seems he is not disturbed so much when I come so close to use the door.
