there were sitting owls nearby up in a tree.
long-eared owls (ransuilen) a whole group of them sitting together in a tree.
She had seen 11!
Today I decided to have a look myself.
A sunny, yet very windy day and incredibly cold.
As I arrived on the spot,
I saw them...sitting.... their long fluffy ears being blown away by the wind...
their eyes closed facing the sun...
sleeping, or maybe seemingly sleeping?
I sensed as if they had an eye on me...while sleeping...!
