Deep drinking

Fluffy loves to drink water, out of the most unusual places.
This time it is out of a jar I use in the kitchen.
He has to drink deep.
So funny to see his head disappearing.

Siskin

Today I noticed a bird, which looked like a greenfinch, but wasn't.
I looked it up.
Its a siskin as well, the male.
A few days ago I posted a pic of the female.

27 White Rabbit

(Continuing Story White Rabbit)
Immediately White Rabbit was fully awake,
meanwhile staring at the mess, he had just made again by his clumsiness
He then looked at Black Cat and Yellowbird kind of puzzled.

‘I think I have an idea’, said Black Cat, smiling, while he put back the table to its original position.

‘Me and my friends are going to cook for you every day,

untill you are able to do it yourself again.

What do you think’? he said with a big grin.

White Rabbit was silent for a while and said after a pause

of loud thinking....‘That would be a great idea!’

Black Cat said: ‘Deal’!

They all started laughing out uncontrollably.

26 White Rabbit

(Continuing White Rabbit) after a very, very long long pause

To let Black Cats words sink in, White Rabbit stretched himself, with a deep, deep yawn.
Accidentally he pushed the table, so that it almost turned over,
but all of the things on it tumbled on the floor.

Yellow bird tried to help out, but could only watch the crashing sounds.

Not a finch...or?

At first I thought it was a finch.
But looking better I wondered no...not a finch...seen him years before...
but what is it?

In my books it most looks like a Eurasian Siskin (Sijs) (Carduelis Spinus)
By the way; He, or I think this one is a she, seems to be family from the finches.

Fluffy-fun

Fluffy had great fun, splashing in the water today.

Robin song

This morning, when I awoke, I heard singing.
I noticed it was Robins voice.
He sang so beautiful his morning song, that I listened to it till he stopped.
All through the day I hear him around the house, singing and tweeting, welcoming springtime.

birds

I love it, how the birds slowly change their coat,
by beautiful mosses making them green.

Inspection

Today a lovely bright sunny day.
And yes!, a blue-tit is having house inspection.

Snow birds

Yesterday's snowy birdies, or was it the day before?
Yeh it was the day before.
Lovely snowy world outside, birds were covered with a nice snowy coat.

robin-leave

This morning I wanted to make some photo's of the crocus covered under the snow.

Instead I heard robin softly singing, near by.
I looked and looked, but could not find him.
Then suddenly I noticed him.
Perfectly matching with the uatumn-leaves of the beech.

Glazing with frost

Yesterday it looked like, winter wants to take over the new beginnings of fragile springtime.
Birds singing...and exploring their birdhouses.
Crocus and snowdrops blossoming, now covered with beauty of frosted glazing.

Robin

So cute!

Singing robin

Two almost identical photo's
I love the way his slightly different posture of his expression.

Frosted little something

These photo's I made a few weeks ago, when the world was so extremely beautiful!

First ladybird

Yesterday was a beautiful warm day, unusual for the month of Januari.
I decided to do some gardening, enjoying the sunshine, meanwhile removing old leaves and dead plant-stuff.
Then I noticed the first ladybird sitting on a dead twig...enjoying sitting in the warm sun-rays.
I wanted to make a picture, but when I removed the twig from the plant, he fell off and I could not find him anymore.

I decided to make a drawing instead of the first ladybird of the year!
