Very sad bird

About a week ago, my neighbor called me on the phone,
A bird had flown against the window and was dead immediately.
Another bird was sitting near the dead bird for more than an hour.
She (my neighbor) did not know what to do and she felt so sad for the bird.

When I arrived the bird was still sitting there, close to the dead bird.

I don't know if it was the female or the male who was still alive.
It was such a sad sight.
A mourning bird sitting near his dead mate…
For sure birds have feelings…
even in the expression on his face you can see he is so sad.
