Its splashing time!

Squirrel

Had not seen him for a long time, the squirrel.
Suddenly I noticed him in my neighbors garden, searching for food, which he found!

Coal tits building a nest

The coal tits have chosen a house.
A nice house,which they used last year as well.
 When I sit in my studio, I have a perfect view on the birds activity.
I noticed them with building material, but was not yet able to capture that.
Here they are having inspection and preparations.

After bath

It was great weather for a bath.
 Just when I wanted to grab my camera, the Blue tit was done.

He sat in the nearby tree to do the rest of his cleaning up.
Ruffling his feathers…sitting wide…all of his feathers standing out.
I love to see them this way…so cute, so soft and fluffy!
Later he sat down in the sunshine to let his feathers dry.

Song Trush

Is it the same Song Trush that lost his mate, about a week ago?
Today he is catching worms in my garden.

Inspection

Will this be my new house?

Very sad bird

About a week ago, my neighbor called me on the phone,
A bird had flown against the window and was dead immediately.
Another bird was sitting near the dead bird for more than an hour.
She (my neighbor) did not know what to do and she felt so sad for the bird.

When I arrived the bird was still sitting there, close to the dead bird.
A Song Trush couple.
I don't know if it was the female or the male who was still alive.
It was such a sad sight.
A mourning bird sitting near his dead mate…
For sure birds have feelings…
even in the expression on his face you can see he is so sad.

Cats

It is quite funny, when Bibi and Fluffy 'play' with each other.
When Bibi sits outside, Fluffy tries to upset Bibi,
which is mostly successful for a while.
Then Bibi turns his back on him…looking to the other side.

Fight

The bleu-tits have chosen one of the birdhouses.
Its time for a new breed.
Only there seems to be a problem.
One of the blue-tits thinks there is an intruder.
An enemy.
This goes on for days...everytime he sits in the window of my shed.
looking at his own reflection…thinking there is another bird.

I hope he soon gets friends with himself.

Doves are building a nest

The doves are busy building a nest in a tree, right in front of my window.

Birds are singing all over the place and they are busy inspecting the birdhouses.
Spring has arrived!
