that they ate and celebrated till it was getting dark

and danced through the night for a long time.

The next day at 4. Polly had made everything ready to receive the guests.

he had cut a piece from the enormous pie, and put it in the middle of the 'table' .

When all his friends had arrived, they wondered why and how come?

They asked: Are you having your birthday party?

or is it a special day, or an important day to have a party?

Polly nodded his head. He said that today is a very special day,

because it is a very unspecial day and a very unimportant day, just like so many other days.

He wanted to celebrate the unimportant and the unspecial, kind of boring days.

That's why he had made such a big PurplePinkBlueBerryPie for all unspecial days that are coming...to celebrate them all.....everyday!

A few hours sunshine, though cold and windy,

is enough for the blue-tit to have a good splashing bath.

Polly sat down, full of excitement,

to write a letter to all of his friends.

to invite them for his yummy PPBBPParty on the next day at 4.

When the pie was ready, Polly looked astonished at the pie.

He had to stand on his toes to look on the top!

It looked great!..... it looked fantastic!....

Much better than he had ever dreamed of.

Such a big great pie!

He could not believe his eyes.

It smelled so gorgeous!

He could not believe his nose.

Last couple of days it was extremely misty outside.

One day driving along the road, the sunset was astonishing.

I had no camera.

even a buzzard perched on a pole...

I always wanted to capture a closeby buzzard!

ouch!..no camera.

Today again while on the road at sunset time,

I had my snapshot camera in my car.

just before getting dark completely.

Not only that it sounds great, mused Polly, smiling from ear to ear,

even more that it tastes great...!

He could not wait any longer and started to collect all the things for his

PurplePinkBlueBerryPie.

He wanted to make a very big pie, so that he could invite all his friends to come along to enjoy the PurplePinkBlueBerryPieParty. (The PPBBPParty for short)

He mixed all things for the pie into a big bowl

and started to stir everything with even both of his paws

and even later he put the pie in the oven.

Redwing

Last week I discovered the Redwing, (Koperwiek), (Turdus iliacus) in my garden.

Few days ago I was able to take a snapshot while he was drinking.

A lovely bird...with a red-orange flank and underwing.

beautiful dark brown spots on his white breast.

Coming all the way from the north... Sweden, Russia, Norway.

seeking a warmer climate in wintertime.

I hope he will stay for a while.

When he found the right page in the cookbook,

Polly sat down to relax in the middle of the berries.

Along with a cup of hot chocolate

and some of his favorite carrot sandwiches.

Yes! he said,

musing with a smile...PurplePinkBlueBerryPie..that sounds great!

Dunnock

So now and then I see the Dunnock, (Heggemus) Prunella modularis,

having a snack from the seeds, that again sprouted on the feeding table.

He is a very shy bird and mostly he is gone before I can catch him in my camera.

This morning I was lucky, that he did not notice me.

When Polly had stored all the berries in his home,

He thought for a while deeply, what to do next...

He took his old cookbook from his grandmother

and started reading.

Berries

While doing my groceries,

I found these lovely berries.

I wonder if they are the same as Polly found.

or lookalikes...

maybe not so pinkish...

yet I could not resist them...because they were smiling at me

When he had picked all the berries,

Polly decided to take the yummy berries home.

With his arms full of berries,

Polly carefully walked up and down to his home, more than once,

so that all the berries were safe.

With great enthusiasm, Polly started picking off all the purplebluepink berries.

till he had next to him a great pile of berries and the shrub empty.

Polly ran a while, following the scent of the yummy smelling berries.

It did not take long that he almost bumped

up a shrub full of delightful purplepinkblue berries.

Blackbird

A beautiful blackbird came closer,

to see if the apples were ripe.

After his inspection he decided to wait a little longer.

I like that decision, so that I can enjoy my lovely red apples a little longer.

fruit and seeds

Its very misty this morning,

and there is a stillness around I always love so very much.

It is as if the mist silences everything around

so that you get still inside too.

beautiful misty dewdrops hanging like garlands everywhere you're looking...

Robin

Finally some birds have found the feeding table.

Not the seeds, but the breadcrumbs attracted this lovely robin.

As he sniffed to the right and to the left,

he saw that the scent of the berries was coming from the right.

A lovely fragrance had filled the air as if a cloud of berries was all around.

He wondered why he had not smelled it before.

He started to follow his nose towards the berry fragrance.

This is so great yummy! what a great yummy, yummy berry

Polly said to himself.

Hmmm...Maybe there are more berries around to be found.

He sniffed in the air to see if he could find out where to find them.

He took some more bites, squeezed all the juice of the berry,

till all of the berry had been gone.

He lapped his paws,

to make sure that nothing of the precious delight would be spilt.

Polly sniffed on the berry, and again,

and thought hmmmm,

sniffs good!

He took a bite from the juicy berry.

This morning, a wren came closer, for inspection in the birdbath.

He is so quick, so that the fly-away photo ended in a blur

autumn leaves

Autumn-leaves are falling like snow or rain.

He has found a berry.

Bird

Finally so now and than, a bird appears closer to the house.

I think some have discovered the seeds.

Mostly I see more a kind of a blur of a bird.

so quickly they are gone.
