Phalera Bucephala, Wapendrager, Buff-tip
A Phalera Bucephala (Buff-tip, english name) (Wapendrager, dutch name)
has fallen out of the oak.
as they do every year,
on purpose...not by accident.
This one I found on the table, running around.
I gave him some oak leaf, which he didn't want to eat.
he kept running around...restless..., searching.... fell /dropped himself several more times
though he has such a grip with his hairy feet....he wanted to fall for finding a better place
(if you enlarge the paws, it looks like hairy elephant paws).
On his head is written a yellow Y ,
the Y of Yellow or the Y of whY?
he dropped himself, to find a safe hole in the ground...to hibernate as cocoon.

young fluffy robin
While cutting away some ivy,
I heard tick-tickere-tic-tic....tick-tickere-tic-tic....tick..tic-tic-tic.
Immediately I knew...
robin..a robin close by.
looking...searching with my eyes between the green foliage...
there he sat on the old iron gate...so close...didn't expect him so close.
a young robin..... fluffy...all his feathers...fluff.
keeping in my breath...
oh don't fly away before I have you in my camera
what a beauty!

present from Japan
I love stamps...
I love writings in languages I cannot read...
a mystery for a European like me.
Especially the calligraphic ones...which seem beautiful drawings...
Characters like a picture.
Today I received a present from one of my friends daughter,
this beautiful Japanese/Chinese stamp,
which is used to close and seal a letter.
also poetic symbol that fishes deliver letters...
even the box-container is a delight for the eyes.
Thanx so much M.!

hair/feather-cut
razorblade-cutting
It looks as if a flying hedge-shears has gone over my garden.
the buxus are shaved,
the wisteria has had a haircut,
so the vine...
and a huge razor-blade has flown over my conifer hedge,
cutting everything green it could get.
And the bench in my garden is not acting as a see-saw anymore...
because some terrace-tiles have been leveled.
thanx so much for those angels!

playing ball
Today friends visited...and helped me in my garden.
they brought along an unexpected lovely visitor, called Nike.
Nike loved to go playing with Tommy and Bibi,
who both were a little bit more than suspicious...
(I forgot to photograph their high backs, thick tails and lowered ears...)
tolerating Nike, ...but playing....????? ueehh ?
....cats and dogs...?????????
(though it was raining yesterday both of them)(see post yesterday)
so Nike enjoyed and played all by himself with his favorite ball.
