Squirrels are out!

The snail mail, I received a few days ago, contained my new cards!
Published by Kunst und Bild, a German Publisher in Berlin.
Three different sizes and in different colors envelopes.

My own lovely squirrel is now eating nuts all over Germany and other German speaking countries!

Clematis Montana

A week later...
The buds have opened.

Snailmail

Today I received 2 snail mails, with these lovely stamps.
One from Berlin (Germany) and one special made stamp.
stamped with Nieuwegein…which means translated New Fun.
In Holland you can order your own stamps with your own selected picture on it.

I don't know if that is possible in other countries, but here in Holland, it is a real treat that we are able to do so.
I always enjoy beautiful stamps on a letter!

Dancing rain

Dancing rain in my pond,
in step with the music of the birds.

New Song Thrush

Late this afternoon, I suddenly saw this lovely Song Thrush, (Zanglijster).
He looks like a young one (juvenile). a fresh breed so to speak.
Song Thrushes sing georgeous!
The new ones always look and act a bit clumsy…
like: 'everything is new to me' expression.

Maybe this 'new bird' sings a new song as well!

Lots of promises

Lots of promises of the Clematis Montana, a delightful flower,
spreading a lovely vanilla fragrance, when in bloom.

Blue Rain is raining

The Wisteria (Blauwe regen) is out!
Lots of deep purples and shiny lilacs…
Full of a lovely fragrance when passing by.
Every year it is a feast to sit under the tree
allowing the fragrance to overwhelm.

Arrangements

The fly catcher is already making arrangements for building his nest.
Now the waiting is for the female.
She always arrives about 10 days later from Africa.
Will she find her way?
Does she come?
If yes, When?
He is singing on top of his lungs to call her forth.
Tweeting her. Will she hear?
If I knew the song I would sing along with him.

Hair-do-day

Today I decided it was time to brush Bibi and Fluffy.
Lots of loose hair…and great for the birds nests.
As soon as I had put the hair out…the birds were ready to take it in.

Robin

Robin watching

Dove

The last few days, the dove comes visiting.

Fly catcher

Fly catcher, front-, right-, left-& back side…
What a beautiful bird!

Little wren bathing

Its such a delight and fun, to see little wren taking a bath.

Fly catcher

The flycatcher is busy all day long to defend his territory.
It seems he wants the same nest box as last year.
At least he is doing serious inspection,
meanwhile singing and cheeping loudly.

I do hope he will stay.

A few days later

In just a few days (4) later,  the beech buds have sprung open!
Amazing to see the power and what has been inside.
Perfectly unfolding both the leaves and the flowers.
