As he sniffed to the right and to the left,

he saw that the scent of the berries was coming from the right.

A lovely fragrance had filled the air as if a cloud of berries was all around.

He wondered why he had not smelled it before.

He started to follow his nose towards the berry fragrance.

This is so great yummy! what a great yummy, yummy berry

Polly said to himself.

Hmmm...Maybe there are more berries around to be found.

He sniffed in the air to see if he could find out where to find them.

He took some more bites, squeezed all the juice of the berry,

till all of the berry had been gone.

He lapped his paws,

to make sure that nothing of the precious delight would be spilt.

Polly sniffed on the berry, and again,

and thought hmmmm,

sniffs good!

He took a bite from the juicy berry.

This morning, a wren came closer, for inspection in the birdbath.

He is so quick, so that the fly-away photo ended in a blur

Autumn-leaves are falling like snow or rain.

He has found a berry.

Finally so now and than, a bird appears closer to the house.

I think some have discovered the seeds.

Mostly I see more a kind of a blur of a bird.

so quickly they are gone.

This morning, when I entered the kitchen, I saw Bibi sitting in the sink.

lapping water....

As if there is no water in his own drinking pot.

I even have several on more than one place, where the cats can have something to drink.

I like their inventions, even naughty.

Thats why I think I love cats so much.

always unpredictable....always doing their own thing.

new pillow

Yesterday I washed a piece of cloth,

which I had found on the ceiling which needed some refreshment.

Later I put it in the window-sill to let it dry a little more.

Of course Fluffy thought it was a nice new pillow.

which he tried out immediately.

At the back however, is his basket and pillow, which he never uses.

Instead this piece of cloth seems to have an enchanting attraction.

Cats always have a mind of their own, You never can tell.

rose hips

The rose hips are shriveling and changing colors,

Not what they were anymore

autumn has taken over.

Fluffy in his element

The Fluffy loves to trample with his paws in soft woolen materials.

It looks like he is in ' far-away-land'

off the world so to speak.

Its so funny to watch.

Of course it is not allowed for the Bibi, to sit on my sink.

But as cats have their own mind,

Bibi takes his chance, when I am not looking,

or he thinks that I am not looking.

He always is very interested if there is something left in my pans and pots.

black sunflower seeds

As I mentioned a week ago in 'wrong seeds' or wrong birds, on Okt 17th,

that the birds don't come to eat my yummy seeds.

I took the advise of one of my readers comments,

to give the birds black sunflowers seeds.

I bought yummy black sunflower seeds.

put it outside on 2 ! spots.

You know what happens?

All week long the seeds still sitting on the same spot where I put them out.

I think the advise was great.

I start believing I have the wrong kind of birds.

I even bought them peanuts!

Peanuts.

Early morning just when the sun comes in my garden,

It shines on the beautiful grasses, highlighted by the early sun rays.

The Fluffy playing with a piece of string of the window shutters.

Its red berry time.

All the shrubs that have bloomed this summer, now carry beautiful red berries.

The honeysuckle has made lovely reds.

I wonder how long they will stay there,

till the birds decide its time for a yummy fruit salat

Autumn rain causes beautiful drops.

I love it all the red berries in my garden.

The Malus and the lily of the valley have beautiful red berries.

The raindrops give them an extra glossy look

wrong birds or wrong seeds

A while ago I wanted to see more birds in my garden.

The best I can think of, is feeding.

Feeding the birds is the way you get them closer.

So I bought a bag of new fresh bird seeds.

Put them out in the garden on a table...

What happens?

waiting, waiting..more waiting....

No birds...no birds coming closer.

After several rainy days and late summer days and some cold days,

The seeds started to sprout.

no birds seems to like the seeds.

Is it because I have the wrong kind of birds in my garden?

Is it because I have the wrong kind of seeds?

Who can tell?
