Fishing nuts

A few days ago, I had thrown some nuts in the pond, for my squirrel-friend.

He happpily came along and immediately he discovered the nuts in the water. It did not take long that he was fishing nuts as a skilled fisher.

 

Green woodpecker

 The last couple of days I heard the green woodpecker laughing loudly. Every morning when I sit with my early morning coffee. It feels as if he is laughing in victory, when it seems all is going wrong and things all seem to go the opposite direction. 

The Lord sits in Heaven and laughs at the conspiracies of the nations (Ps 2) For me its a reality whatever it looks like now. The woodpecker reminds me of that every day now. He thinks I need it.

Its one thing to hear a green woodpecker. Its another thing to see him. This morning I was happy to hear and see him as he climbed the oak in my garden.

In between his laughter he is snacking some insects.

Such a beautiful awesome bird.

2 robins

 A few days ago, there were two robins together at the feeding table. That was a surprise to me, because normally you always see one, because they are very territorial,

Would it already be his mate? I would love to have a couple nesting in my garden again this year.

Fishing nuts

By accident a nut landed in the pond, floating there for a while. Squirrel discovered the swimming nut and took it out. That inspired me to drop some more nuts in the pond.

And he fished them all out!
 

Spring

Compared to a week ago, from middle of winter and being snowed under, its a complete change now.

Crocuses are blossoming all over the place and birds singing and tweeting, even inspecting the birdhouses.

Buzzard again

 Last week, the buzzard landed again in the oak in my garden.

He sat there for a while enjoying and looking, while sitting in the sun.

Snow

 Snow has gone today, here are some beautiful remembrances of my snow packed world.
