Little Wren

Few days ago my tiny little bird friends came to the birdbath one after another.
Little wren and Goldcrest, both the smallest birds of all.
Even the Goldcrest is a little bit smaller than the wren.(I will make a post about him later)
I love these birds so much!
See how tiny little wren goes loose in the water, shaking all the dust off.

poppy

Last year I had beautiful poppy's growing in my garden.
Lots of last years seeds have come up everywhere now.
So now I have a harvest of beautiful poppy's coming out in pots and between the tiles.
Buds are so beautiful!
The greens of the leaves and the red hairs on the buds and stems!

Ant, heavyweight

When I was sitting outside in the sunshine,
I suddenly noticed a small crawly ant.
He was carrying a caterpillar 3 times its size!
Almost unbelievable that those tiny insects can carry such enormous weight.

Going deep

Robins building a nest

When I was awake very early, I looked out of my bedroom window.
I almost could not believe my eyes,
When I watched longer it was really true.
A pair of robins is building a nest, right near my window.
Both robins are bringing leaves and mosses into the nestbox.
Such lovely sight!
So happy I can follow the building process !

A couple of years ago (5 years) another pair of robins had young in this nestbox as well,
and I really hoped they would one day come again.

Seesaw

On the seesaw playing in the waters, having fun going up and down.

Squirrel

This morning to my surprise, my friend squirrel came along.
He was happy to find some yummy things on the table.
I was happy to see him again.

A week ago she and her mom came along to bring me a yummy cake.
So I thought she might like to have a drawing of the yummy cakes,
eaten by the white rabbits, squirrel and birds...

Blackcap

Last week, about every day, I saw a couple of blackcaps coming to have a bath.
Beautiful birds!
Male with a blackcap, female has a brown cap.
Mostly they come together.
Today I only saw him taking a lovely bath.

Dove bathing

I was hoping the dove would jump into the water again.
However today he just did a bit washing of his head and that seemed to be enough for today.
