Camouflaged as autumn leaf

There he was again.
It worked!
Robin hiding, camouflaged as a living autumn leaf between the leaves.
Hardly to be seen, only by the small movements you could notice him, if you looked very well.
He was searching for a little something.

Last week, as I was in a store for animals,
I bought some mealworms for my robin.
I had noticed him for a while
but this one is so very shy and doesn't like to been seen.
Not when I want to make a photo at least.
So mealworms might be the solution.
Not so yet.
When I see him, he immediately flies off out of sight.

So a drawing will capture him a for a while.

Construction

A coal tit was busy all day long, to do some reconstruction work on one of the bird houses.
Probably there was something not okay.
A while ago I had noticed that the paint had come off around the door, but did not think about it.

Now I saw!
The coal tits opinion is that the door is too small.
He was busy hammering the door a little wider!

Maybe he wants to use the house for winter-residence.

The Malus apple tree has done a fantastic job!
By producing such a beautiful yummy apples for the birds.
But the birds don't eat them yet. because they like them better when icy cold has gone over it.
So now I can enjoy the apples as they sit in gorgeous reds waiting to be picked.

I drove back to make a photo of this funny looking thing.
Google said it is an Inkcap, (Inktzwam) Coprinus comatus)

Now a couple of months later I was thinking
'Hey maybe I can have a look if its still there!'
I went to the shop and there it was, standing in sales-corner
on sale!

Now I have a nice place for my cracked egg and my many colors.
