I had seen the squirrel passing by in my garden.
That did not happen for some years.
The neighbors have a wall nut tree, but since some trees have disappeared some years ago
the squirrels take another path...not through my garden.

So this was great!, having one running along.
immediately I dropped some wallnuts outside...as a surprise, to have them stuck on their way.
And it worked....
When the squirrel ran along he noticed the nuts...and of course he could not resist.

Only....It was still dark this morning...so the photo's are blurred..=--------

peanut

Last week I put up a peanut butter jar in the tree.
The birds love it and me too watching them.
One by one they come along, waiting their turn, the blue tits and the coal tits, for a snack.

Butterflies

Yesterday, while there was a lovely warm autumn sun shining.
Lots of butterflies enjoyed their meal in the Purple Top vervain, (Ijzerhard), (Verbena).

Today no butterfly anywhere to be seen...because of the cloudy rainy no sunshine day.

Not only the berry's on yesterdays tree are growing, coloring....
The little malus apples have become firy red!

There are lots of kind of rose hips on the tree, of which I am not sure what tree it is.
It looks like a thorn apple, but some say its not....anyway.

One week ago my father flew away from this earth on angels wings,
going to his Heavenly Father...


I will miss him.

There are more than one blackbirds molting this time of the year.
So I don't know which is one or the other.

It seems that the new feathers are starting to grow again.
new pens are visible if you look closely!

I found a caterpillar on the green GFT container.
I saved him and made a photo from both sides...
I have no idea what kind it is...

Nuthatch

The nuthatch has discovered the cheese on the feeding table.
He seems to greatly love it!

It is very comforting for the blackbird as M. commented in yesterdays posts
that the feathers will grow back soon.

The apples are blushing more and more.
Its going red..so they have a way to go still....

The berries are ripe,
Mrs blackbird thinks it is time for a yummy berry snack.

Hedgehog

Just before turning off the lights,
I saw a hedgehog running outside.
I ran after him.
seeing what he was doing.
When he noticed me he changed into a round ball.
I gave him some of Bibi'sandFluffy's food.
He was too afraid to touch it.
so I left him alone....so that he could nibble the food without me watching.

Full moon

I just wanted to go sleeping, that I discovered a perfect full moon in the sky.
Maybe he looks the same a your place.

A little bluebird has found the fluffy feather.
He thought it was a nice boat.
So he landed on the feather for a little floating.

Today came this lovely young robin to the feeding table.
You can see that he is a young, because his breast is not quite as red as the adults.
His red breast is becoming more red in the coming months.

It makes me smile seeing Fluffy again in his wrapped position while sleeping.

Young Jay

A beautiful young jay is visiting the feeding table this morning.
I have seen one of his parents...also visiting the table a while ago.
Did not know they had a young.
I like the clumsy expression on this face.
