every once in a while
the squirrel comes along for a drink
then after his drink, he mostly climbs on his outlook post
surveying... looking, where to go next.

Yesterday while driving along a country road
passed along a farm where they sold real eggs
from free-range chickens.

Stopped immediately to buy some.
They also had one very huge big white egg laying there in a small basket.
The basket was just big enough that it fitted exactly in it.
tossed in a little hay, so it looked like a small nest.
Of course I took that egg with me
for only 0,25 cents.!
It seemed to be a goose egg
never knew these eggs were that big!
for a feast meal.........!

The nuthatch was having inspection of the birdhouse today.

I know the house desperately needs some restoration.
I don't know if he has noticed.
the framework of the roof needs restored,
the paint is falling off...
wait and see,
or shall I restore the house?

Swedish moon

My friend K. has been to Sweden last weeks.
I had asked her to sent me a picture of the Swedish moon.
In January on my blog I showed you how the Germans look at their moon...(25-01-07)

I heard the robin again,

gently singing in a soft drizzling rain.

It really seems to be spring in my garden.
I saw as well bumblebees&bees!

first butterfly

Today, I saw the first butterfly of this year.
amazing...
hardly to believe.
He fed on the blue anemones, I recently had bought
to enjoy spring a little bit beforehand.
Its seems to me 'last-year-butterfly' that has come out of his wintersleep.
