Yesterday a beautiful Song-thrush came along with speckles all over his breast.
I so much love these birds... singing so delightful.

He had his beak pointing very high upward and all his red feathers on his breast pushed forward. As I looked a bit closer it looked like this robin was showing off all his beautiful red feathers on his breast. Then suddenly I saw another robin sitting very close and immediately all was clear that he was trying to make a great impression on his mate who was looking at him very intently.
Such beautiful sight this robins...oh I hope so they make a nest in my garden!
Its always around this time, (the first weeks of april). This morning while having my coffeetime I suddenly saw him!
A small glimpse of him sitting in the beech tree singing!
I always love it so much when he's back. all the way from Africa...flying through snowstorms and downpours of rain...He did it again!
Here is the schedule of his former arrivals through out the years.
Squirrel is cracking the nut. Then he puts the two halves of the nut (like a cup) on top of each other and eats out of the top one. When he has eaten the top one, he drops it and starts eating out of the second cup.
Squirrels are soooo smart!
