Every day squirrel comes for a drink and robin as well comes to have his share.
He perfectly matches with the beechnuts that are falling all over the place.
He is as confident as always, birds don't mind at all.
Then they store the nuts in my garden and also in the wood nearby.
Today I caught one of them, (the darker one,) with a fresh picked nut. He peeled it quickly and took it to a safe spot a little higher to eat it. He rotated the nut quickly with his paws and scraped with his sharp teeth to crack it. I could clearly hear the scraping sound of his teeth on the nut.
Then he saw me watching with my camera, so that meant he fled to a more private spot.
Anyway for some moments he was having a small pause during his rush for nuts, so I was able to catch a glimpse.
Today he came along for a drink.
However he runs so fast I cannot keep up with my camera yet, so that he is a bit blurry.
Of course I immediately gave them something they liked very much.
