Common Blue

Small blue butterfly landed just in front of me.
(Common Blue, Icarusblauwtje, Polyommatus Icarus) 

Black beetle

On my way for a walk with a friend, we found on our path several black beetles also walking there.
One was just trying to go on the wings and you could see movement in the underwings, like a kind of trembling.
A moment later he was gone.
A little further there was one lying on his back...not alive anymore.
His colours were briljant from deep purple ultramarine blues and deep magenta.
later I found out his name:
Dung-beetle, Mestkever or Geotrupidae.

Whirligig beetle

Last saturday I visited with a friend a place where there was a great pond.
I had seen another time, that there were these running beetles on the water,
so I took my camera with me.
In dutch they are named 'Writers' Schrijvertjes, as if they are writing on the surface of the water.
I also like the english name Whirligig beetle..whirling and twirling on the water....

Hole-cutter

I've been intrigued by finding out that there lives a Hole-cutter in my garden.
Everywhere I look he has cut some holes in the leaves in various shapes and forms.
He seems to like only the soft greens and not so much the more crusty hard nerve of the leaves.
Like I loved to eat the bread and leave the crusts on my plate.
I love his artistic forms in all variations

Fall gifts

Even after the fading...new life is coming forth in small beautiful packages.

Flying birds

While the sun was shining inside my house,
I suddenly noticed these flying birds on my floor.
The blurry shadows give the impression of real flying birds.

In reality however, the birds are glued on my windows, (to prevent the birds from crashing).
They casted a shadow on my floor.

Apples

Lots of little apples on the Malus tree.
Its so beautiful to see them blushing.

Today its even more eaten.
the white anemones a few days ago so perfect, has gotten holes.
