Breathtaking

The scent is breathtaking!
A gorgeous mesmerising fragrance filling the air.
The colours are so fresh and beautiful in variety of lilacs, blues and purples!

Forgotten feather

The Blue-tit forgot one of his attributes.

Coal-tit

The coal-tit is busy preparing a nest for a new family.
Fluffy's hair is very welcome to make it soft and cosy!

Orange tip

 

The last few days, I am looking for the Orange tip  butterfly, (Oranjetipje), (Anthocharis cardamines)

to make photo's.

Mostly early in the morning they sit on the Bittercress, Cuckooflower, (Cardamin Pratensis), (Pinksterbloem).

When it is early you can find them still sleeping. so that it is easy to make a photo.

I did not find them yet.

I do see them flying round some hours later, but they never sit still...always busy and going here and there hopping from one flower to another.

Instead I made some photos of the flowers.

Explosion of buds

It looks as if all the buds have decided to pick one day to explode.
As if they all tweeted each other....'Today is the day!'
'Yes we pick today'...(and some thought it was yesterday)
I was amazed that all the bare branches, suddenly have a cloud of green all around them.
Everywhere I look, the greens are popping out.

Blue-tits nesting

The blue-tits decided to take the house near my window.
I have a great sight on the building of the nest.
I saw them bring in straws, moss and feathers.
I even gave them some Fluffy-hair for extra softness.

Breakout

What a difference in a day with lots of sunshine

Beech is breaking out!

The beech is breaking out!
The buds are bursting open with extreme power from the inside.
Nothing can stop them, one more warm day and they are out!

Flycatcher back!!!

Today I saw him!
The flycatcher is back again, all the way from Africa!
Amazing!
He did it again.
such a brave bird!
See all the days in recent years here, when he arrived.

Flycatcher time

Its time for the Flycatcher to arrive.
I do hope he will make it all the way from Africa.
Last year he was late 24th of April

Unicorn 01

This is Unicorn.
He lives in the pond.
I don't see him very much, because he is most of the time hiding under the water.
Sometimes he shows up and says 'Hi!'

Little wren

Little wren, visiting the violets,
there seems to be lots of yummy stuff in them.
