Continuing Frogg

After 1001 times thank you's and lots of hugs
Leopold and Frogg returned home,
both happily glowing with joy and excitement.
Leopold said, 'When I have lost something, I always want go first to the Lost & Found.'
Frogg nodded with a glowing big smile....'Me too!
I always go first to ask the great Lion!'

Continuing Frogg

'Leopold, where is your crown?' asked Lion.
'My crown?' said Leopold astonished.
'I don't have one, I never had!'
'Let me try this one on you.
This one is sitting here way too long, as he took a smaller crown from the shelf.
Carefully he placed the crown on Leopold.
It fitted perfectly.

Continuing Frogg

A moment later Lion was back with a beautiful golden crown in his paws.
'Crow brought it here just a few days ago, he had found it in the woods.' he said.
'This might be the one'.
Lion placed the crown on Frogg's head.
Frogg could not believe his eyes!
It was exactly the crown he had lost!
With tears in his eyes he looked up.
'This means so much to me!' he said with a deep sigh of relief.

Snowcaps

Beginning this week, when it was awesome white,
The birds had beautiful snowcaps,
which faded during the day.

Robin

Robin sat kind of waiting...in the arch of the beech,
to go to the feeding table, waiting for his turn.
He was happily sitting, no hurry.
Feathers high up because of the snow and cold.

Icy apples

This morning...beautiful white everywhere.
Melting away too soon.
Just in time to catch a glimpse of the frozen icy apples.

Still nervous by the big Lion,
Frogg tried to make a drawing as precise as possible.
'It is made of gold and it has 5 diamonds on top
and in the middle there are diamonds as well.
It is...beautiful and...'
'Let me see if I can find it in my storage room', said Lion.
He turned around to some shelves behind him full of things.
He took a crown from one of the shelves.

Robin discovered the feeding table, I put up yesterday.
Just in time, because it has been freezing last night,
so that the birds find some extra energy in these cold days.

I think he likes it.

Is this the Lost&Found department?
I'm lost you see, I mean...stammered Frogg confused,
not expecting a lion in being charge.
'I mean my crown is lost, not me, or it is stolen.
Did you found it?

Lion looked at him very kindly and said,
'Come in and sit down please.
Tell me all about your lost crown.
How it looked like and when you last saw it.
Maybe you can make a sketch of it, how it looked like.

Happy fly-hour

The carrier-pigeons are having happy fly-hour,
flying their circles above my house.
It always looks like they really enjoy it.

When nobody answered the door,
Leopold knocked again 3 times, now a bit louder.
Impatiently they waited.
A moment later hey heard a clicking sound as if someone turned a key.
The door squeaked as it opened slowly.
Lion said, Hi! 'Some late visitors,
can I help you?'

The rain had stopped to their relief as they were walking on.

'We turned every leaf and branch in the wood,' said Frogg agitated.
'I think I did not lost it at all! Otherwise we would have found my crown.
It must have been stolen!
I remember now that Crow acted a bit strange when we went home.
As if he was hiding something.
Why did't I think of that before!'

Leopold did not have to answer that question,
because they were standing before a huge door.
Leopold knocked three times.

Sparkles

Its beautiful warm today.
Sun-rays are playing with the slowly vaporising dewdrops,
transforming them into shiny sparkling lights.

They did not say anything for a while.
They only stared at the falling rain, not knowing what to do.
Thinking...
Then as if a switch was turned on, Leopold said,
'Why don't we go to the Lost & Found?'
'What do you mean? Lost & Found, what's that?'
'When you've lost something you go there to see if it is found.
When you found something, you go there to see who might have lost it.'
said leopold.
'Ohh said Frogg, didn't know that.'
'It's not far from here, Lets go see!' said Leopold.

'As I told you so!' said Frogg grumpy.
Nothing, nowhere a crown here!
We are waisting our time.' Frogg went on even more cranky.
Nothing and nowhere any crown. Just what I said.'

Leopold did not know what to say.
Trying not to make it worse by saying maybe any wrong word, he said nothing.
However, to make it worse, it started raining.
They both sat under the trees staring at the softly drizzling drops.

'Then you must go back to the woods and look for it there,' said Leopold.
'I have done this.' said Frogg.
'Searching everywhere under every leaf and branch, but I did not find it.'
'Lets go again.' said Leopold. 'I can help you find it.'
'Maybe you skipped some leaves or branches,' he added.
So they took off to the woods and looked here, there and everywhere and even on nowhere places.
After long hours of searching, they sat down.
Not having  found anything what looked like a crown.

'Oh I thought I was missing something on you, but I could not tell what it was.
Different glasses, or haircut...
But now I see, You are missing your crown.'
Where did you lost it?' said Leopold.

'If I knew, I would not sit here to ask for your advice'. answered Frogg a bit agitated.
'When was the last time you saw it?' asked Leopold.
'It was last Monday.
I know for sure, because I had some friends visiting.
We went for a walk in the woods.
When I came home and wanted to go to bed, I missed my crown.'

'Come here and sit down'. said Leopold.
'Like something to drink?'
Frogg sat down and Leopold quickly got something to drink.
'So what's up?' asked Leopold.
Frogg looked at him and said. 'I need your advice.
I have lost my crown or it is stolen'. he added with a sad look.
'I have looked for it everywhere, but I could not find it'.

You're home! said Frogg who stepped from behind the tree.
Astonished Leopold stared at the visitor, meanwhile trying not to show how scared he had been.
'YYes',  said Leopold 'I'm home.
How nice to see you, Frogg' he added friendly.
'How are you'?
Frogg however looked quite grumpy or depressed.
He did not answer his question, only sighed deeply.

Violets eaten

I really wonder who has eaten all my violets?
Not one flower is left that has no traces of theft.

Suddenly there was a loud knock on his tree.

Leopold, who had not heard someone coming,
being far away in daydream land,
woke up being scared stiff.

Leopold pondered, while sipping his coffee, that this was different in the past.
Back than he was running and going very, very fast.
Going here and everywhere, delivering mail on every door, always in time.

and the days in his early youth,
when he won the snailracing championship
racing with time and winning!

But now he is so happy that he has more than enough time.

Frogg 1

This is Leopold.
He is sitting in his garden under the shadow of his oak.
Sipping his coffee and looking, looking here and there.
Not doing anything in particular.
This sounds kind of boring but for him it is not.
He loves looking around, then you see things that are mostly hidden.
When running and rushing you mostly don't see anything.
So Leopold takes his time.
