One eye

I spotted 'One eye' again in my garden.

Flycatcher

I did not see the flycatcher for a while.
I wondered if he had moved.
Today i noticed him again, defending his territory.
loudly tweeting that he is here.
I do hope his mate soon will arrive, so that the nestbuilding can begin.

Apple blossom

Despite the many rain that is showering this whole week,
The apple continues to blossom and being so beautiful!
The buds are taken a week ago, the blossoming has just begun.

Hailstones

Its weird weather, last week.
Not so much the springy type weather, I would like.
Cold, rainy...and yesterday even thick hailstones...
Jumping, springing all over the place.
I must admit its kind of springy though. 

Construction work

When going outside, I noticed this...

Quite a messy mess, near the tap.

I waited to see who would be responsible...

I didn't have to wait a long time...

Every time this blackbird boldly came  to the house, 

digging out the plant pot I recently had bought for the Fluff.

He noticed me trying to make pictures, 

but that did not keep him from continuing his job.

The rest of the pictures speak for themselves.

Cabbage White

I haven't see many butterflies this spring yet.
This is the first Cabbage White on the Pinksterbloemen, Cardamine pratensis (cuckooflower or lady's smock)
I also expect the Orange White to come, but he didn't show up yet. 
So I keep an eye on these flowers.
Many are blossoming in my grass, till the grass can have its first haircut.

Flycatcher call&tweet

First glimpse of the flycatcher.
His is mostly high up in a tree, to call & tweet to his soon coming mate.
She is always a week or so later, so he must make sure she will hear him, when she flies over.

Spring, springing

The beech is unfolding.

On one place of the tree, (at the bottom) the buds are thick and about to open up..
At half way up, the leaves are unfolding.
And more higher, the blossoms are coming out!

Great sight, seeing spring, springing open.

Flycatcher arrived!!!

This morning, I was just awake, I looked out of my window.
A bird came sitting on the fence.
I looked better to see what bird it was.
The flycatcher stared at me!!!
It was as if he came to tell me that he has arrived!

Such a SURPRISE!!!!!

Second robin

I also noticed, there is a second robin in my garden with 2 normal eyes.

One eye

One eye is back!

Last summer I had a robin in my garden with one eye, the right eye blind.
I named him 'One eye'
In winter the summer robins migrate to southern places
and winter robins arrive here from more northern countries, to spend winter here.
Now the summer robins are back to nest here.
I never knew robins come back to the same garden,

To my surprise One eye is back.

I think it must be the same bird.

Expecting

It's about time the flycatcher will arrive.
The last couple of days, I find myself, looking, watching...
Its time now, than he will come again.
No schedules of flight time and announcements of arrival time here.

It feels as if expecting a very good friend coming soon,
Soon arriving from a long, flight from far away country.

Just waiting till he shows up again.

Always on top

Fluffy always is sitting on top of all my things.
Especially the things I am working on.
If I am drawing, he wants to sit on my drawing paper.
When I want to write something in my agenda, he wants to sit on top of it.
Looking things up in one of my ordners, he wants to be on top of it.
So he is!
Always on top! 

Happy cat

Fluffy very happy, when his meal is served.

Stork breeding

Having a quick peek at the storks today.
One stork quietly sat a bit dozing in the lovely sunshine.
Probably breeding on some eggs.
