Did not see him all year long, the Comma butterfly, (Gekartelde Aurelia)
Finally today he was visiting.

Bird flashmob

This afternoon, it happened out of the blue.
It looked like a flashmob.
It was as if all the birds had planned a meeting,
coming together in the birdbath at 15.30

Having a short big splash
and then left...all at the same time.

On my door sits a crane fly, (langpootmug) all morning.
When I open the door, nothing happens...
He stays where he is.
When I close the door...he still remains...just sitting there.
No hurry.
When I wanted to make a photo of this weird longlegged insect...
looking through the lens, I noticed he was missing one of his legs.
Oh dear..
Happily he has wings so no bother, he can fly.
Then when I looked better on my computer screen I noticed he was missing both of his legs....
They normally have six.

Web symphony

Spiders are not really my favorites,
yet, if you have a glance at their houses,
and the sun playing around...
it looks like a symphony in many colors.

Woodpecker

I heard a hammering sound above my head.
I looked up, but saw nothing while the hammering continued.

Then my eye spotted him.
Mr Woodpecker himself, sitting high above in a tree hammering insects out of hiding.
I could see him eating a little something.

Robin in new dress

Compared to a few weeks ago,
Robin has changed his looks.
At least I think its the same robin.
Two weeks ago he looked like this.

I love it how his new feathers are so brand new and fresh.
and the old speckled ones sticking out a bit messy.
