sewing and than discovering you don't like the result,
which seems to come out quite different than you intended.

so it takes a couple of hours to undo.
thread's falling on the floor everywhere.

His mate-blackbird sat a little further having a suntan.

I like it to see them so very much being themselves.
He stretched as far as he could back-sidewards...
as to warm all of his belly/tummy-feathers!

The little birdy (Lievvie) soon discovered the drinkingwater of Bibi and Tommy.

He sat on the edge and then after drinking, he jumped in the water,
wading through the water with spread wings(no photo)
Then he sat himself down...preening, cleaning his undone feathers one by one.

Tommy and Bibi were both very, very interested in the little birdy...

so they had to stay outside for 'just-in-case' security reasons.

Lievvie

My friend K. came visit me with her little birdy Lievvie,
The bird is a small parrot specie,
he has beautiful colored feathers..in greens, yellows and hidden blues in the wings.

He is used to fly around freely, in her house at home.
so he was not afraid to fly around in mine too.
soon he perched on in the window, on the lamp, on my shoulder,
then on my camera, so I was not able to take a photo of that.

lost and found

I found a perfect beautiful blue-striped feather of a jay (vlaamse gaai) (Garrulus Glandarius)
it lay under a hosta in my garden.
He must have lost it, so it goes to my shelf 'lost&found'.

Some weeks ago I received from my publisher in Germany,
a new card, with one of my blackbirds bathing in the birdbath.

with a beautiful matching enveloppe.
to be sold in German speaking languages.
I really like this one.
