screaming&begging

There s a constant screaming and begging for more flies,
coming from inside the birdbox,

Now and then one of the young comes looking out,
because it takes way too long, when mother comes.

By the way, this is a baby pied flycatcher

Another family great tits ready for flight!

First ringed dutch sea-eagle

Today I heard on the news,
First dutch ringed Sea eagle!
The young has got 2 rings today
His number is AF19...on the left.
the ring on the right has written: 776X

He is now 4400 gram
wingspan 34,5 cm

kind of dragonflies (Coenagrion)
dancing & mating on the waterplants.

great tit gone out

The first great tit that came out,
made himself comfortable in the honeysuckle close to the nest box.
He sat there for a while, watching his new surroundings.Its always so charming, to see these young freshly feathered birds.

My neighbour came along, telling the great tits were on the look out!
Immediately grabbed my cam
great chance to see those birdies ready for flight!

spotting little owl

Later that evening..I saw a glimpse of little owl...
swiftly flying...
in a blink of an eye invisible, perching in a pear tree,
leaves making sure nothing to be seen.

later his mate sat on the roof.
so I was able to catch a far away glimpse

Owls place

Today I visited little owls place again.(See recents posts may 5 & april 28)
The owls seem to have at least 3 young, probably more.
I was way too early so waited&watched for hours to see him or her on the wings.

I was told that one of the big poles is one of his favourite watch post.
so I imagined him sitting there.

In the butterfly garden, I was recently,
there was a butterfly with transparent glass like wings!
Never seen such a thing...

Blue tits baby's are almost ready for flight!.

Owl butterfly

Last week I was in a butterflygarden.
there I saw this owl butterfly.(Caligo eurilochus)
facing eye to eye.

eyes on wings, like eyes of an owl.

little owls number

Today went to little owls home again.
She is still breeding on her 5 eggs.
Her number on her ring had to be notated.

For that she had to come out of hiding, in order to read her ring number.
For me a chance to see her very close by.
What a perfect beauty!

no 11 th queen

It does not look like, that queen 11 is planning to come out.
due to something unknown, whatever reason.
