toadstool

Suddenly 5 toadstools..(the red ones) appeared between the fallen leaves.
One has been eaten, nibbled on.
I wonder who is doing this, because the fly-agaric is toxic.
maybe a hedgehog?

Royal mail

For 2 days I didn't know what to post on my blog.
Or maybe I did, but it didn't make sense, so I ignored.
The reason-part in me likes that things make sense.
It didnot agree with the creative-intuitive-part that likes nonsense.

Somehow there is always a kind of struggle going on that things have to make sense,
in order to be taken serious.
The nonsense things are not serious and most of the times
(certainly in our western reasoning mindset), ignored, neglected and denied.
as being unimportant nonsense.

But somehow the nonsense is most of the times,
more fun,
more alive,
more delight.
and not so deadly serious.

curious robin

Even when not doing a no-thing in the garden,
the robin curiously comes now,
looking if there is a little something...

squirrel

Stepping outside, rainy day,
I saw just in time, the squirrel moving
one of the nuts of the neighbours walnuttree.

Every year he is transporting all the nuts to his cupboard,
of which my garden is one of the shelves.

lemon ladybird

In dutch this yellow ladybird is called lemon ladybird,
in latin it has the name: psyllobora 22-punctata.
in english : 22 spot ladybird.

He or she seems to have 22 spots, on only a 3 to 4 square tiny milimeters.

snail

Some how a not so common snail,
managed to climb up to my window.
moving his house straight up horizontal.

If you compare this, in terms of weight to his bodysize.
it is an enormous feat of strength.

flying letters

Words have wings,
if you let them.

flying sounds of love,
or flying sounds of hatred.
to be lifted up,
or to be smashed down.

its our choice, how to let them fly

Gentiana

As summer has almost ended, and most of the flowers are gone,
I went to a gardencentre,
to prolong summer as long as possible.

I found these beautiful cobalt-blue gentiana's , with a little violet flaw.
One of my favorite colors!

Yesterday beautiful sunshine, butterflies all over.

has been robbed of part of his wings.
fortunately he still can fly and feed on the flowers.

robin

There are loads and loads of acorns and beachnuts coming down.
and I had postphoned the job of clearing them from the grass.
This morning however I decided to go for it...

and to my surprise the robin was singing songs for me,
keeping company along the task, inspecting if everything went okey.

and ah surprise..! I had thrown away one of his snacks.

update 'save the Queen'

It is now more than 3 weeks that the cocoons are there.
If it had been summercocoons , the butterfly(Swallowtail) had to come out one of these days.
But as I already expected they are wintercocons. that means the butterflies will come out next year.
Maybe around may...not earlier, because before that time there will not be enough food (plants) for the butterflies to feed on and it will be too cold.

So, need some lots of patience...!
