missing hits

So many acorns that missed my head....Is n't that amazing...!Could have been hit thousands of times!!! (see saterdayspost three days ago) I realized that mostly you (I) pick out the bad luck..but I'm a happy bunny..with so many missing hits. And there are much more, I only collected the ones that lay on my path, in order to not walk on acorns all the time, like walking on eggs.

URL

This is the 'popup-window' I wanted to upload yesterday, and didn't want to pop, because of serverproblems.
Today I made it an You Are EL (URL).
I see now that the inkframes are a kind of windows. A window in a windows (or a mac).
I like layers of meaning, putting your thoughts switching from one thing to another...to make things clear though it looks like riddles.
Oh, this one you really need to ponder...!

Sun shining through

When things hit you unexpectedly, like yesterdays literal and symbolic acorn.... (we all get things hitting us, don't we)...there's after tears , when the Son shines through...little diamonds becoming, what only looked like water and nothingness.

crashing acorns

This morning while sitting outside, I nearly was 'killed' by a falling acorn.
It had decided to almost hit me ...like a bullet...
but it crashed a few inches beside me.
Its not kind of safe to sit outside under the oak....getting attacked like this :-)

dove marks

This morning, a dove tried to walk on my window, which was covered with dew and bended...
He left beautiful prints of his wings on the glass like a beautiful painting.

It gave a good beginning to my day too

dragon-fly

A Beautiful big dragon-fly is just having a break on one of my foeniculum plants, while the sun is playing through his wings.
According to one of my books he's called: Aeschna mixta, in dutch he's called a 'horsebiter'.
For a living he is hunting flying ants...

T-wing

A beautiful very strange peculiar T-winged creature on my window.
never saw an insect sitting with spread wings. Normally they sit with wings folded on the back.
Anyway there is always something new to explore.

oakwood

Acorns are falling down...loads of acorns, every year by the thousands.
Its like a complete wood coming down. If I would sow all the acorns I could begin a nursery for an oakwood as big as...
And not to speak about all the beech nuts for a beechwood coming after this
and the acer for an acerwood.
And all the walnuts from my neighbor's garden that the squirrel is planting.
I could plant all of Holland into a wood with all this abundance of tree seeds.

survivalkit always at hand

I always kind of tolerate them, when I find them everywhere under pots and stones..and also in my hall, creeping under through the door.
While I was mobbing the kittchenfloor, a little thing was rolling like a little ball over the floor.
At closer inspection I saw that a wood-louse had rolled himself like a ball, in order to save his life from my attack.
I took a piece of paper, (which happened to be the backside of a sandpaper sheet) and managed to put the little ball on. So amazing how he has his survivalkit always at hand.
He unfolded from his ballposition, but still on his back, he crawled with his feet and legs spinning in topspeed. An effortless trial to get upside up again. Finally he got up again(with a little help) and I saved his life by putting him outside my door. There he found shelter and a new home under one of my pots and plants.

stealing grapes

My blackbirds are eagerly inspecting my grapevine....
The looks in their eyes, tell me the grapes are fine, as they are trying to pick the best grape for a snack.
Every year this is a returning feast on my vine.
This year the grapes are a little bigger than last year,
so they cannot swallow the grape at once.
I always enjoy them watching, inspecting, in order to make their best choice...

thunderrain

I awoke by the sound of a heavy thunder downpouring rain,
Lots of rumbling and lightning
following each other very close.
immense rumbling sounds tumbling and rolling over each other.
flashes of lightning brightening the dark.
rhythm of rain falling, mingling the rumbling together, like a symphony
Slowly the sounds passed by....... diminishing in the distance.
Thunders softening going on.
Sounds of rain falling.........dripping rain.
than the cooing of a dove.

tea and lice-burgers

I invited the ladybug (who sat on my window yesterday) for a cup of tea and along came one of his winged friends.
We Had a nice conversation about food and likes and don't likes.
He liked as his favorite snack a lice-burger, and his winged friend was fond of nectar-shakes.

Lady bug

A lady bug is sitting since yesterday on my glass window, only moving the frontpawlegs around its little nose, now and then, is all he does.
Maybe he or she is enjoying my fresh newly painted windowframe, which I repainted the day before.
The nice thing is that I can make a photo on both sides. You normally don't often see the belly of a beetle, only when they fall flat on their backs, and than you immediately want to save them out of their awkward position, when they are trampling their legs and feet like madman.
In Dutch we call a ladybug 'lieveheersbeestje'
which means translated; The Lords beloved little animal.

sense and nonsense

Tonight I was jotting some thoughts down , it went like this. Tried to edit it a bit later on.
Maybe it is a bit difficult to read. Anyway, enlarge the pic, and maybe it makes some no sense.
Cannot hardly read it myself , so I better type it out.

sense and nonsense
For my mind it always has to make sense,
otherwise it has no right for existence
it is than nothing, so to speak.
If it makes no sense and does not make any sense....it is nothing.
Not important and no thing,
according to my minds opinion.
My mind does not seem to like non sense, cause it does not understand it
But the nonsense things I like more and
make nuch more sense......

wolfspider pieces

Yesterday late, I besieged a victory over a spider, I met this huge, huge big spider on the wall down to the cellar. I always react like terrified when I meet a spider like this big.
And after my first shock I tried to grab my pieces together. I took my shoe off, (first weapon I could find that quick), and hit it right on.
Took the remains in a tissue paper, cleansed the mark from the wall..juck..
And then I thought it would be great to put the spider in the web, so I fished the remains of the spider out of the garbagebin. It was a bit in pieces now, but here she is, a real wolfspider.
(its a she, manwolfspiders are a little smaller, as I read in one of my books.)

kiwi and woodpecker green

As I was eating a kiwi today I saw that the inside color of the kiwi is the same as the color of the laughing green woodpecker. which is the 'sap green' color from my watercolorpaint.
This doesn't make any sense at all, but I like nonsense.

Beautiful stamp of the jay I recently found in my snailmail box.
I love stamps and a pity of email is that it misses the stamps.
So I include one here one for compensation.

woodpeckers joke

Today I heard the green woodpecker laugh, could n't see him though, as he I almost hiding between the green leaves.
He always reminds me of a horse, and when I hear him, I start laughing too, like I heard a good joke.

feather 2

Today another beautiful feather in front of my door in the grass.
Not so common for me to find a feather of this bird, specially not the blue ones. It belongs to a Eurasian jay. I'll put it on the 'lost and found' and if he doesn't come, to get it back, I take it in my studio.

feather

One of the doves dropped one of his little feathers, right in front of my door.
I picked it up to keep it in my studio.
